PLATAIN

  • Platain is a large vegetable banana that needs to be cooked before use. Plane trees are popular in the cuisines of the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa.
  • Cooking platains can be compared to potato dishes. Peeled plane trees can be baked, boiled, fried, grilled or steamed. After full ripening, you can also bake plane trees in their skins at 190 C for 45-50 minutes. Serve them seasoned with salt, pepper and a piece of butter.
  • The main dietary difference is that bananas come from sugar, while plantains come from starch. Fresh platains contain more vitamin C - about 30% of the daily norm and more vitamin A - about 37% of the norm. In addition, these fruits contain moderate amounts of niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, as well as important minerals: iron, magnesium, phosphoru
